The former boss of the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC appears before the House of Representatives committee investigating corruption and financial malfeasance in the NDDC.

She accused Niger Delta minister, Godswill Akpabio of trying to stop her from making revelations of corruption at the NDDC. According to her, Akpabio stole money and tried to make her take an oath which is a criminal offence, and punishable with life imprisonment. … The man who wanted me to take (a fetish) oath is at home. It is a criminal offence, it’s life imprisonment, to take such an oath. To even offer me an oath is liable,” the former NDDC MD said.

We reported on Thursday how Governor Wike came to her rescue when  the police raided her house in Rivers State.

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state, who prevented the police from taking Nunieh away, had asked the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, to probe the invasion of the former NDDC boss.
