Governor Patrick Obaseki responds to Adams Oshimhole's Comment

Court extends order stopping Obaseki from arresting Oshiomhole

Governor of Edo State, Patrick Obaseki has reacted to former National Chairman All Progressive Congress (APC),Adams Oshimole comment about him and why he hate him so much. During a political rally last week Adams Oshiomole said that he made a mistake by supporting Patrick Obaseki in the 2016 election against Ize Iyamu. Governor Obaseki has now defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after he was disqualified by APC.

Governor Obaseki's spokesman Crusoe Osagie said Oshimhole became a frustrated man after he found out he could not hijack Governor Obaseki's administration. He further explained that when Adams Oshimhole was governor of Edo state he awarded   a contract at the Edo Specialist Hospital to an associate who failed to execute the project. He alleged that Oshimhole borrowed medical equipment and put in the hospital which was removed immediately President Buhari commissioned it.

Crusoe said, “He has failed to answer a simple question which is; why did heavily guarded trucks come in the dead of the night to remove the equipment in the hospital which President Buhari had commissioned just one day after the commissioning?

“Why was the hospital not opened to the public for the remaining days of his tenure after the hospital had been commissioned?” He quipped.

He stated that Oshiomhole told the hospital equipment supplier in Lagos “to loan him some equipment just for the commissioning and the equipment was returned to the owner after the commissioning ceremony”.

Osagie insisted that Oshiomhole’s hatred for Obaseki’s stems from the governor's  refusal to allow him use the government “for the satisfaction of his warlords and thugs who are now fighting for him and causing crisis in Edo state ahead of the election.”
