Barrister Olumide Akpata wins NBA election

                   

Barrister Olumide Akpata has won the presidential election of the Nigerian Bar Association which was held on Thursday. 

Olumide Akpata is a Partner in the Corporate and Commercial Practice Group of the Firm and he is currently the Head of that Group.

He is admitted to practice in Nigeria and has over two decades of experience in advising clients on various aspects of Nigerian Corporate and Commercial Law. He is also the Vice-Chair (West-Africa) of the International Bar Association’s Africa Regional Forum.

Governor Uzodinma of Imo State Discloses 8 Names Paid N330 Million Annually in The Pension Scam That Has Rocked The State

        Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has revealed to the people of the state the fraud discovered in the pension system of the state. He said that 8 people in the state has been receiving N330 million as pension annually. The Governor named the 8 people and the amount the receive as follows:   Ajokubi H. A, (N65, 685, 491. 00) Njoku Damian (N 5,042,439.58), Obasi Canice (N 3, 460, 366.64), Anyanwu F. N (No, 150, 336. 00), Emenalo Theresa (N 3,058, 592.00), John Sunday (N 2,320624. 00) Ajaegbo E. Silvio Berlusconi test positive to COVID-19

  Silvio Berlusconi, Italy’s former prime minister, has tested positive for coronavirus. The 83-year-old is currently in isolation at his home near Milan, according to a statement issued by his staff. It added that he would continue to contribute to the electoral campaigns of candidates from his Forza Italia party at local elections scheduled for September. Mr Berlusconi has served as PM in four governments, holding the role for a total of nine years.
