EFCC appoints Zonal office Heads

 In a fresh move to strengthen the activities of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission( EFCC) new Zonal Heads have been named in 12 out of the 14 Zonal offices of the Commission. 

 
The new Zonal Heads, who have assumed duties in their various jurisdictions are:  Abubakar Saad Mallam: Head, Abuja Zonal Office; Isei Daniel: Head, Makurdi Zonal Office and  Chukkol Abdulkarim: Head, Port Harcourt Zonal Office.

Others are : Muhtar S. Bello: Head, Benin Zonal Office; Edeh Akpa Uchenna: Head, Uyo Zonal Office; Oseni Kazeem Oluwasina: Head, Ilorin Zonal Office and Bawa Usman Kaltungo:  Head, Sokoto Zonal Office.

The rest are:  Oshodi Johnson:  Head, Enugu Zonal Office; Bawa Abdulrasheed Ahmed: Head, Lagos Zonal Office; Mohammed Sanusi: Head, Kano Zonal Office,  Rilwan Hamzat: Head, Maiduguri Zonal Office and Abdullahi Sanusi: Head, Kaduna Zonal Office.

Other appointments made by the Acting Chairman, Mohammed Umar Abba include:  Nnaghe Obono Itam: Acting Commandant, EFCC Academy and  Hadejia Umar Mohammed:  Acting Director of Operations.

   Sir Alan Sugar has sparked a racism row with a tweet about Ian wright's suit. The former Arsenal star, 56, appeared on the BBC yesterday wearing a sand-coloured jacket and matching trousers during the televised Fa Cup final between Arsenal and Chelsea. Nigeria Central Bank Governor Breached The Quarantine To Fly Family To The UK

                 Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele, used a private jet to fly his wife and children to the United Kingdom in violation of the closure of the Nigerian airspace during COVID-19 lockdown across the country. The Nigerian Government had announced that only essential travels will be permitted by air across the country but flight manifest sighted by SaharaReporters shows that  Emefiele used a private jet – a Global Express Bombardier 550 luxury jet with registration number N104DA – belonging to businessman, Aliko Dangote. It costs at least $10,000 per hour – about N3.8m – to fly on this luxury jet.         The flight was operated by Executive Jet Services co-owned by Dangote and Sam Iwajoku – the  same company embroiled in a recent controversy over the violation of the nation’s lockdown  by flying musician, Naira Marley, to Abuja from Lagos to perform at a concert at Jabi Lake Mall.  The jet carried Mrs Margaret Emefiele, his sons – Godwin Pammichukwu Jnr. and

The former King of Spain leaves the country over alleged corruption

Spain's former monarch King Juan Carlos has left the country amid accusations he had a £58.5 million stashed in an offshore account.  The Spain authorities opened an investigation involving Juan Carlos in a high speed rail in Saudi Arabia. The money was alleged to be given to Juan Carlos by the former king of Saudi Arabia King Abdullah. His destination is unknown but he said he would be available if prosecutors needed to interview him. The Spanish royal family website published a letter from Juan Carlos to his son King Felipe VI on Monday saying, "I am informing you of my considered decision to move during this period, out of Spain."    The report against the former King of Spain alleged that he transferred a large sum of money to a friend in what investigators consider as an attempt to hide the money from authorities.
