An Abuja High Court has issued an injunction against the the Edo State Government and its officials to restrain from defaming Mr. Idahosa Okunbo. 

The Edo State government sponsored a publication in the national dailies captioned ‘Okunbo, Oshiomhole making plans to disrupt Edo Governorship Elections’. The alleged defamatory publication was signed by Osagie, the Special Adviser, Media and Communication Strategy to the Governor.

Ruling on the application of injunction on the Edo state government officials Justice Suleiman Belgore granted the injunction.

Idahosa Okunbo is also claiming N4 Billion as aggravated and exemplary damages for embarrassment, inconveniences, losses and damages done to the claimant's character and interests.
