Woman charged for biting a Police Officer in Lagos State



A 41 year old woman, Bunmi Adesanya  has been charged under section 172 (a) &(b) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State. She was on Wednesday charged for assault and wilfully obstructing a police officer while on duty. The prosecutor alleged that the police were to arrest Mr Omolara Bello for an alleged crime but the accused prevented the police officers and assaulted PC Ocheme David by biting him in the back. and causing him bodily harm. The accused pleaded not guilty. Sitting in Shomolu magistrate court, Mrs B.O Osunsanmi  granted her bail on the sum of N100,000 with 2 sureties in like sum. The case was adjourned to 2nd February 2015.

Nigeria Central Bank Governor Breached The Quarantine To Fly Family To The UK

                 Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele, used a private jet to fly his wife and children to the United Kingdom in violation of the closure of the Nigerian airspace during COVID-19 lockdown across the country. The Nigerian Government had announced that only essential travels will be permitted by air across the country but flight manifest sighted by SaharaReporters shows that  Emefiele used a private jet – a Global Express Bombardier 550 luxury jet with registration number N104DA – belonging to businessman, Aliko Dangote. The former King of Spain leaves the country over alleged corruption

Spain's former monarch King Juan Carlos has left the country amid accusations he had a £58.5 million stashed in an offshore account.  The Spain authorities opened an investigation involving Juan Carlos in a high speed rail in Saudi Arabia. The money was alleged to be given to Juan Carlos by the former king of Saudi Arabia King Abdullah. His destination is unknown but he said he would be available if prosecutors needed to interview him. The Spanish royal family website published a letter from Juan Carlos to his son King Felipe VI on Monday saying, "I am informing you of my considered decision to move during this period, out of Spain."    The report against the former King of Spain alleged that he transferred a large sum of money to a friend in what investigators consider as an attempt to hide the money from authorities.
