The trial of a 14 year old girl for killing his husband and three other people will commence in a couple of weeks in Unguwar Yansoro, in the northern part of Nigeria. Wasila Tasiu is accused of using rat poison to kill the four people. A shop keeper in the village confirm selling it to her. The prosecution is alleging that she was motivated by regret over her marriage to Umar Sani who is 24 years older than her. Tasiu has confessed to putting the rat poison in the food but she said she did it because she was forced into the marriage by her parents. But the bride's father described her to be of consenting age. And that she dated Umar Sani and expressed a clear desire to marry her. The bride's father is still maintaining that it is the norm in the village for girls to marry at the age of 14. He went further to say that she is the seventh of his daughters to marry at 14 years.

Nigeria Central Bank Governor Breached The Quarantine To Fly Family To The UK

                 Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele, used a private jet to fly his wife and children to the United Kingdom in violation of the closure of the Nigerian airspace during COVID-19 lockdown across the country. The Nigerian Government had announced that only essential travels will be permitted by air across the country but flight manifest sighted by SaharaReporters shows that  Emefiele used a private jet – a Global Express Bombardier 550 luxury jet with registration number N104DA – belonging to businessman, Aliko Dangote. The former King of Spain leaves the country over alleged corruption

Spain's former monarch King Juan Carlos has left the country amid accusations he had a £58.5 million stashed in an offshore account.  The Spain authorities opened an investigation involving Juan Carlos in a high speed rail in Saudi Arabia. The money was alleged to be given to Juan Carlos by the former king of Saudi Arabia King Abdullah. His destination is unknown but he said he would be available if prosecutors needed to interview him. The Spanish royal family website published a letter from Juan Carlos to his son King Felipe VI on Monday saying, "I am informing you of my considered decision to move during this period, out of Spain."    The report against the former King of Spain alleged that he transferred a large sum of money to a friend in what investigators consider as an attempt to hide the money from authorities.
