Muslim Hero in the Paris Attack Awarded French Citizenship

The Kosher shop employee who saved several shoppers in the Paris attack has been granted a French Citizenship. The shop employee is Lassana Bathily,24 and a Muslim was praised for his courage and heroism by the Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve during a ceremony also attended by the Prime Minister Manuel Valls.

The Mali born shop clerk turned off the store freezer and hid the shoppers inside before sneaking out and helping the police free the hostages.
