UNN To Award Ike Ekweremadu a Honourary Doctorate Degree

Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, will on Saturday be awarded an honourary Doctor of Laws degree by his alma mater, the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
A statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Uche Anichukwu, explained that the degree will  be conferred on the federal lawmaker during the university’s convocation ceremony in Nsukka on January 24, 2015. 
Ekweremadu who doubles as the Speaker of the Parliament of the Economic Community of West Africa obtained Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws degrees at the UNN in 1986 and 1994, respectively. 
He taught Constitutional Law and Labour Law at the University as an Associate Lecturer before going into politics in 1997.
