              On tuesday Boko Haram attacked a village near Chibok and killed 15 people. Several homes were burnt. In the early hours of tuesday Boko Haram attacked Kautikari. According to eye witness they urged they villagers not to leave and that they are here for certain people. The people killed are mostly youth vigilante that keep watch on the village.

The Nigeria President Jonathan Goodluck said Nigerians will appreciate more only when he has left office. The Britsh Nurse who has been diagonised with Ebola has been flown to a London hospital. Nurse Pauline Cafferkey was flown to London in the early hours of tuesday from Glasgow. She is now in Royal Free Hospital Hampstead London The new anti-viral drug Zmapp is out of stock. Zmapp is the drug used in treating William Pooley. The treatment offered to her now is plasma from patients who have survived Ebola. The antibodies from the survivor is used to fight ebola. Information from BBC is that William Pooley has given his plasma. The AirAsia search team has found debris on the Java Sea which has been confirmed to belong to  the AirAsia QZ8501. The head of Indonesia search Operation Bambang Soelistyo said three bodies have been retrieved and not forty as earlier reported. The AirAsia statement said family members would be assigned care providers and an emergency call centre would be set up for those seeking information.

  It seems the Cameroonians mean business in their fight  against the islamist group Boko Haram. In the terrorist group quest to create an islamic caliphate they have spread their attack to Nigeria neighbour Cameroon. According to the report reaching us the terrorist group attacked five towns and villages in the north region of cameroon. They attacked Makari, Amchide, Lamani and Achigachia and Chogori. The Cameroonian Government on their part sent thousands of soldiers in the northern region of Cameroon to counter the attack of the terrorist. What I like about  the Cameroonians viewed it as war unlike the Nigerian Government. Air attack was even launched on the terrorist group. More than 40 islamic militants were killed by the Cameroonian army. The islamic miltants have all gone back to Nigeria.

                         The First Lady of Anambra state Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano visited prisons in Anambra state on christmas day to see the inmates and to pass on her message of love to them. She visited prisons in Aguata, Amawbia and Onitsha. She also visited Daughter of Charity Orphanage Home in Fegge Onitsha. A passenger has absconded with $150,000 belonging to another passenger on board Med View Airline. This happened this morning in the flight from Abuja to Yola. The owner kept the luggage in the luggage compartment above his head but he did not know when it was taken. The passenger on stealing the luggaged made an excuse to the aircraft crew that he left his phone on the check in counter and that he be allowed to go and get it. The aircraft crew escorted him but on getting to the check in counter he absconded - onye ori !!!. When the owner of the luggage found out that his luggage has gone he raised alarm and the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority came and all the passengers and the plane was searched. The matter is with the police now. From the information gathered the money belong to a bureau the change operator. The Airline staff that escorted the thief has been arrested by the airport police.

The head of the Indonesia search team Bambang Soelistyo said in Jakarta "Based on the coordinates given to us and evaluation that the estimated crash position is in the sea, the hypothesis is the plane is at the bottom of the sea," The search was suspended yesterday. The Indonesia Government has provided 12 ships and 3 helicopter and 5 military aircrafts for the search.

  Justice Oluwatoyin Ipaye of a Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja, has convicted and sentenced the trio of James Ettete; Ekene Jude and Abidemi Adesanya to two and half years imprisonment each, for stealing the sum of N480,000( Four Hundred and Eighty Thousand Naira only) belonging to Skye Bank Plc. They were arraigned in May 2014, on a six- count charge, bordering on conspiracy to commit felony, forgery and use of false document. Justice Ipaye found them guilty on all the counts and convicted them accordingly. The sentence is to run from the day of arraignment. Troubles came for the convicts, when the management of Skye Bank petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over their fraudulent activities. They were operating as a syndicate of fraudsters, who specialized in stealing bankers' identity, to enable them effect fraudulent wire transfers from unsuspecting and well-funded customers' account. The Pakistan today reported that Airport Security Force (ASF) on Sunday foiled an attempt to smuggle 81 capsules of heroin from a Nigerian who was smuggling them from Benazir Bhutto International Airport to South Africa. On the investigation of ASF, Nigerian nationality holder admitted the presence of 81 heroin capsules in his stomach which were later recovered. The Nigerian accused was trying to smuggle the capsules of heroin from Islamabad to South Africa. Moreover, the accused has been handed over to Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF).

The people of Nembe in Nembe Local Government Area of Bayelsa state said NO to a Christmas gift given to them by Nigeria Agip Oil Company. The gift consists of a goat and 10 bags of rice. The community felt its an affront for a reputable oil company to present 10 bags of rice and a goat to a community that is more than 500,000 people. I am just wondering how the oil company intend the Nembe community to share it. I have an idea prepare jollof rice and hopefully each person may be able to get a spoonful of rice.                                  Ekiti State Governor Fayose has given Landlords and Landladies ultimatum to ensure that theirproperties have good toilet facilities by the end of February 2015. He gave this warning on friday in Ado Ekiti on a monthly radio/television programme called "Meet your Governor". He said any houses that do not have toilet facilities the landlords will be arrested and face prosecution under the state Environmental law.
