Obasanjo absent in the Council of States Meeting

In the Council Of States Meeting held to discuss whether the coming General Election coming up on February 14th   will postponed or not had most members in attendance.
The Council of State consist of the President, the Vice President, all former presidents and heads of states, all former Chief Justices of Nigeria, the President of the State, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, all state governors, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and the Attorney General and Minister of Justice. It is an advisory body to the President of Nigeria.
The former President of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo was not in attendance. Also the Governor of Ebonyi and Benue state were also absent from the meeting.

                                                                       The Maiduguri zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, re-arraigned the Chief Executive Officer( CEO) of Complete Care and Aid Foundation, Aisha Alkali Wakil, popularly known as Mama Boko Haram, before Justice Aisha Kumaliya of the Borno State High Court, Maiduguri, on amended four-count charges bordering on conspiracy, giving false information and cheating to the tune of N6million. After the amendment of the charge the defendants was asked to take her plea. MALAYSIA : 4 NIGERIANS ARRESTED IN INTERNET/PARCEL SCAM

A report from BERNAMA which is official portal of National News Agency of Malaysia six people have been arrested for internet/parcel scam. Among the six arrested four are from Nigeria. Below is the report from BERNAMA . GEORGE TOWN, Nov 26 (Bernama) -- The police have crippled two internet-cum-parcel scam syndicates masterminded by foreigners, following the arrest of six people, including four Nigerians, in separate raids here and in Kuala Lumpur. Of the six, two of them are women. While one is from Indonesia, the other is a local. The six were detained in Kuala Lumpur, and Relau here on Friday and Saturday. State Commercial Crime CID chief ACP Azmi Adam said initial investigations revealed the Nigerians entered the country using student visas but were found without personal identification documents when detained by the police.
