Justice P. I. Ajoku of the Federal High Court, sitting in Benin, Edo State, on Thursday, February 12, 2015 convicted and sentenced Philip Agbodobri to two years imprisonment without an option of fine for offences bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and internet scam. Agbodobri, who goes by different aliases - Graham Karlsson and Obrien Karlsson, was being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for engaging in internet scam.

Barely two weeks after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, declared former Adamawa State Governor, Murtala Nyako and his son, Abdul-Aziz, wanted, operatives of the anti- graft agency, this morning arrested the younger Nyako in Gombe, Gombe State. He was immediately flown to Abuja where he is currently being grilled by a crack team of detectives who had been working on the Adamawa investigation for several months. Abdul-Aziz, who was declared wanted by the EFCC in the case of stealing, abuse of office and money laundering, is currently telling investigators all he knows about illicit funds traced to companies where he has interest.

                         A TransAsia plane that took off from Taipei airport has crashed into a river killing 19 people. The plane carrying 58 people mostly Chinese people clipped a bridge  as it came down shortly after take-off from a Taipei airport. The final communication from the pilots to air traffic control was "Mayday, mayday, engine flame out", according to a recording played on local media.
